- Landry Dunand –
Tintype Photographer, Educator, and Artist
I’m Landry Dunand, a tintype photographer and artist based in Washington, DC. My work embraces analog techniques and the flaws that make art unique. Specializing in large-format and wet plate collodion photography, I create images that capture the essence of a moment in a tangible, timeless way. Working from my own darkroom, I focus on blending history, emotion, and technical precision to craft photographs that tell meaningful stories.
Born in France, my artistic vision has been shaped by years of living in diverse cultures, including two transformative years in Kabul, Afghanistan. After traveling through Asia and Europe, I now call Washington, DC, home. These experiences inform not just my art but also my passion for teaching. As an educator, I guide others to discover their own creative voices, fostering connection and creativity in every setting.
Explore my work to see how I turn fleeting moments into lasting narratives and celebrate the beauty of imperfection.
