Selected work
Documentary photography, alternative photographic processes, and teaching...
I was born in France and spent much of my adult life in Asia. I photographed in Thailand and Afghanistan, worked for years as a graphic designer, and spent a lot of time with the Afghan box camera as a working studio practice. Today, I make tintypes and analog projects in the DMV while studying Photography and Media & Society at MICA. The photographs here move between portraiture, archive, travel, process, and just the simple pleasure of making images.

The studio
My process is slow, and I like to take my time.
In my intimate home studio, we spend at least 30 minutes together—discussing the portrait, pouring the chemistry, and watching your image reveal itself.

Most sessions take 40 to 60 minutes. The plate is prepared before exposure and developed right after.
Light tones, simple shapes, textured fabric, and jewelry usually work well. Avoid large logos. Matte textures behave better than shiny fabrics.

About
Photographer, tintype artist, educator, and MFA candidate working between analog process, portraiture, teaching, and questions of representation.
I was born in France and lived much of my adult life in Asia. I worked for years as a graphic designer, photographed in Thailand and Afghanistan, and built a long relationship with handmade photographic processes.
Today my work connects tintype, teaching, darkroom practice, and collaborative image-making. I am interested in photographs that show labor, presence, and the unstable space between documentation and belief.
